Druids moved onto Holme-Next-The-Sea beach today the 15th June to
stop archaeologists moving in with bulldozers to remove the central root from the
so-called 'Seahenge'.

Sitting on the root effectively called a halt to the work in
progress.
There has been much controversy
surrounding the decision taken by the authorities to remove this 4,000 year old ancient
monument from its site on Holme beach.
Half of the posts have now been removed
and the intention was to take away the central root before the summer solstice.

Archaeologists digging out the ancient posts and effectively
destroying the site. The posts are being moved to Flag Fen, Peterborough for
further investigation.
