C.A. entry form and sent with the appropriate fee to the Tournament Secretary enclosing a S.A.E.
Entries are restricted to members until the end of March after which entries
from non-members will be accepted. Please state on the entry form if you do not
want lunch. |
Handicap Cards
Every member will be given a Club Handicap Card, which should be
filled in after every game. When CA members play each other in club matches, they
will record their results on their CA cards.

Fixtures
for year 2004
Open Tournaments 2004
Places for non members will be allocated in March. We will be
able to return to lunches prepared on the premises for open tournaments in 2004. If
you want lunch it must be requested on your entry form, and if ordered you will be
charged, whether eaten or not. If you have any special dietary requirements please
specify on the application form. The bar will be open and morning coffee, afternoon
tea and biscuits will be provided as usual.
The Robert Prichard Weekend - 1st to 3rd May.
Advanced play, open to handicaps of 8 and below. Manager George Noble. Entry
fee £16 (members £14) Restricted to 28 players.
Over 50's Weekend - Friday 18th June to Sunday 20th June.
Handicap Egyptian. Open to handicaps of 20 and below. Manager
t.b.a. Restricted to 24 players. Entry fee £16 (members £14).
The Annual 4 Day Event - is on Saturday 28th August to
Tuesday 31st August. Handicap Egyptian and Blocks - open to handicaps 20 and below
at the time of entry. Manager Martin Kolbuszewski. Entry fee £18 (members
£16). Restricted to 28 players.
Croquet Association Events -
The Chairman's Salver - by selection of the CA. Wednesday 8th September to
Sunday 12th September.
Club Competitions
Butlin Trophy - open to all members with a handicap of 12 or
more. Handicap play - American block.
Albert Trophy - open to all members. Advanced play. American
block. This is basically an event for members with a handicap below 8, but any
member who would prefer to gain experience in advanced play may enter. However, no
player may enter both competitions.
Both of the above competitions will take place between Saturday 5th June and
Saturday 25th September. Games will be organised by competitors and may be played at
any time except Club afternoons, or during organised matches or social events.
Entries close on Saturday 22nd May.
Association Pro-Am - on Saturday 10th July. This is a fun
doubles day, your partner will change each round. There will be four 18 point rounds
of up to 1 and a quarter hours each.
Golf Singles Trophy - open to all members (handicaps may be
applied). Will be played for on Wednesday 21st July.
Golf Doubles Trophy - open to all members (partners select to
balance ability). Will be played on Wednesday 11th August.
The last three events are all day duration with 10am start, so bring a packed
lunch.
Other Events
- Come and Try It is on Saturday 15th May. Help will be needed in the
afternoon.
- EACF Northern Area league matches will be played over the weekend Saturday 5th
June and/or Sunday 6th June.
- Chairman's Day will be on Saturday 31st July
- The Roger Ivill Memorial Trophy against Newport will be on Sunday 19th September.
- The October Bowl against Norwich will be on Sunday 3rd October.
- Afternoon matches have been arranged against Bodham and Wells.
