John Ruskin Primary School and Language Unit

15 of the top singers at John Ruskin School in Camberwell visited North West Norfolk during the weekend 17/18th July to perform in Park House, Brancaster Church, Sandringham Church and Hindolveston Church Hall.
They sang a variety of songs which included country music and songs from the London music hall and were led by Nicola Bibby, the School's music teacher who also trained the Choir. They were accompanied by Sally Bibby on the piano and percussionists 'Sticks & Tricks' led by Ronny. These very young performers were delightful to listen to and it is hoped they will come back again.
Head Teacher Linda Dickinson accompanied them to Norfolk and reported that the Choir has performed in the past at London's Globe Theatre and St James', Piccadilly but had never been out of London before. The concerts were organised by Nicola Bibby with the aid of her parents the Rev. Paul Bibby and Janette Bibby of Stanhoe.
The youngsters enjoyed the delights of Brancaster Beach and other local holiday venues during their stay and slept overnight at the Hunstanton Youth Hostel. |
