Timber Circle Forum Meeting at Holme

9th October 2000

A public meeting was held last night in Holme village hall when a draft report produced by the Holme-next-the-Sea Timber Circle Forum was circulated and discussed.

Brian Ayers of Norfolk Archaeology read  the draft of the report and after approximately 2 hours of discussion, a proposal was put forward for the timbers to be returned to Holme and preserved by being buried deeply in the clay of the beach. This proposal was passed almost unanimously. There was only one dissenting voice.

Because of complaints at the meeting that not enough copies of the report had been made available, it is re-produced here on this website.
